What a four-game homestand to kick off the 2026 season! A huge thank you to everyone who showed up, cooked, chipped in, and helped make the first half of our tailgate schedule such a blast. From late-night victories to dodging rainstorms, you all showed why this crew is second to none. With the team hitting the road for Minnesota next weekend followed by a bye week on the schedule, we’re officially taking a much-needed breather! I am fairly sure that some of the crew is going to Minnesota, but not a full scale tailgate on the road. We are looking forward to enjoying the next couple of Saturdays off and taking full advantage of the chance to finally sleep in.
Before we pack up the gear for a couple of weeks, we do have one quick housekeeping reminder for the second half of the season. Please, get your signups in as early as possible once weekly posts go live! Almost every week during this first stretch, we’ve had to scramble last-minute to adjust quantities, order extra food, or change up prep plans to accommodate a rush of late signups. Knowing your counts early makes a huge difference for handling food prep so we aren’t running in circles on Friday, especially Friday night after we have already gone shopping! Last week multiple people were added after cars were being packed up. Please help us plan and make things easier.
Enjoy the break, get some rest, and we’ll see everyone back at the lot refreshed and ready to go for Homecoming against Penn State on October 17! Many of you know what that usually means, but not this year. While the Italian Beef will be making a return to the tailgates this year, it will be at a later game. So get ready for Philly Cheese Steaks!!!! Because of the special order, we need to place the final order for everything on Monday October 12th at noon. We plan on posting the signup by Monday October 5th.
