2025 Game 9 Purdue Boilermakers

This week we welcome the Purdue Boilermakers for a night game.  For the regulars, you know what this means, the lot opens at noon so getting into the lot is a game of musical chairs as they do not allow you to line up until 11:30, no wait 11:45, no wait 11:50, no wait 11:55, no wait no lining up, keep moving people. So what does that mean?  We need help making sure we get our normal spots.  If you can help at say 11:45 to show up at the lot entrance at the north end and then walk or run over when the lot opens at noon to stand in our spots and protect them for us while we navigate the entrance.  Once we are in you are welcome to leave, go to Fraziers, or whatever.

As a reminder we do our best to start cooking for night games at about 4pm so that there will be food sometime after that.  Anyone cloning early may be recruited or voluntold to help cut up all the veggies..  There will be food for the post game this week, we will serve until we run out.  Come join us to watch a bit of the afternoon games before the party in the Big House.

Hello, are you new here?  If so, here are the details you need to know.  We run M Go Tailgate for fun, this is not a business or a catered affair.  So if you found your way here, ask whoever invited you for the password to sign up or see the location link above.  To make things easy, we ask for a contribution for the main course along with pop and water.  This makes sure the main course is there and ready to go for everyone.  In the past we had people show up with required items at 11:30 for a noon game and people were not able to eat.  So here is what you need to do.

  1. Find the sign up link at the bottom of the post
  2. Use the magic password to access the signup
  3. Select yes or no for your RSVP
  4. Add in the number of adults and children in your party
  5. Select the number of adults and children for the main course contribution
  6. Select side dish and or dessert (or one of the special items each week) for your party size
  7. Select the number for keg beer/seltzer if desired
  8. That’s it!

Menu: We’re going to need to stay warm this week so we will have shaved ribeye cheesesteak hoagies and all the fixin’s so make a plate, grab a bun, whatever works for you.   As always, we will have hotdogs for the kids, or even that stubborn highschooler who refuses to eat anything else… Outside of the main course, purple chips, magic scalloped potatoes, and the pop and water, we ask that you continue to contribute sides, desserts, and whatever surprise dishes you want to show off.

Please be sure to include what you’re bringing in the signup comments so we don’t end up with a dozen bags of chips and the same containers of Kroger cookies (again).  By now we think everyone knows the drill.  If you have questions, ask one of us before Saturday.

As a reminder, please check in with Ken or Rich when you arrive.  It helps us to settle up and to know who is in each group.  As you can imagine, we always have guests we do not recognize and want to ensure we do not catch them off guard with the “who are you with” questions.  Thanks for your help with this.

The new tents are a great addition to the tailgate.  Your feedback has been phenomenal.  This will be our first tailgate with the potential for rain, so we will get to see how the new gutter system works.  If you would like to help out with the remaining costs please see Ken or Rich to make a donation.  Thanks to those who have contributed.  We continue to collect funds for parking passes and other tailgate infrastructure needs so any additional donations are appreciated.

📍 Location: We’ll do our best to snag the usual spot, but as you know it’s sometimes a bit of musical chairs.
Tailgate starts: Around 8:30am (could be a bit earlier or a bit later) since you never know how awake the setup crew is each week.  Generally we raise the flags as soon as we are ready, if you get there early we may put you to work. We always welcome folks who want to experience the full day of the tailgate.
💵 Contribution: $20/adult covers the mains, soda, and water. Kids discounted as usual. If cost is ever an issue, just let a host know — we’d always rather have you there.  If you plan on just stopping to say hello, or not eating the main course no contribution is required.

Other tailgate notes:

  • Grill will be available for anyone with dietary needs or DIY cooking.
  • KEG BEER & SELTZER:  Will be available again this year for a $10 contribution.  Be sure to sign up.  Brands and flavors are TBD based on availability.
  • BYOB still applies — community blue cooler rules: add some, take some.  There is a bit from the first to tailgates to get people started.
  • Booze stash had some great contributions to start the season, so bring what you want.  We do not always put it out, so just ask.

Signup link: 2025 Purdue Boilermakers  (password is the same clever twist as last year). If you need the password please reach out to one of the hosts or whoever invited you.

Go Blue! 💛💙
