Well that was a good start to the season.  We had a nice crowd for the first game of the season and we were able to get our normal spot.  This week that may be a challenge, but we hope to do it again.  For anyone who has a spare hour or so from 11-12 and wants to sit in our spot to hold it until the lot opens up let us know.  Some years they allow sitting, some years they do not, either way we need people on foot to get into the spots at noon since it has been a rolling entry into the lot in the past.  Because of the noon lot opening we hope to be up and running by about 2pm.  Please do us a favor and wait for the flags to go up so we con’t have to work to set up everything working around people. Hey, it took us almost 3 hours to set up last week as we had to remember how to do everything again….

This week brings on the Washington Huskies and we can be sure they will be fired up to play in the big house.  Hopefully our Wolverines can build upon the success from week 1 and have a great game to get the win.  This week we will be hosting a few Huskies at the tailgate so when we finally get a game scheduled out in Seattle be sure to plan a trip.  The gang has already planned up their contributions to the tailgate so be sure to step up your game on food items!

Speaking of food items, I am guessing you all want to know what we are having this week.  Ken has arranged to ship in Italian Beef from Chicago so get your sandwich dipped!  Those who know, know what I mean.  Unfortunately costs have gone up so we are having to raise the costs to $15 per adult for the main course for Italian Beef.  We expect to start the main course sometime around 5pm. For early afternoon and post game we will have burgers and dogs.

There is also the option to contribute in for keg beer.  The order for that will go in on Friday as well so sign up early.

For the new people and a reminder to the regulars, the tailgate is run through contributions for the main course, pop and water and then potluck for sides and desserts.  The Dawgs are bringing cake, and it sounds like a lot of cake, so like I said, be sure to step up the food game this week.  They are also bringing a surprise for their side contribution and I can say from the  photos it looks amazing!  Please sign up before Friday so we can arrange for the Chicago order.
